Loree will no longer support Simplified view for teacher enrolment

The simplified Loree view has been removed for teachers/ teacher base roles in Canvas LMS.

We began the simplified view journey last year in late September to address UI concerns (pre light theme) and to manage the features for teachers. Now that, we have the admin portal and have made significant UI improvements to Loree overall. In this, the simplified view has become redundant. By removal of this simplified view will make the admin’s to manage the Loree features for user roles and managing it in a single tool view becomes easier for the Admins. From Loree v2002.1, Loree will no longer support the simplified view for teachers.

Here after, all the Loree users will get default view of Loree Editor Interface based on the features permitted for their enrolments.

Issues resolved in Loree v2002.1

LUTS - 589 : Fixed the Margin and padding unit value conversion

Defect Scenario: When user applies different unit values (px, %, vh or vw) on margin and padding, after save and exit and re-open the page in Loree Editor - it displayed as pixels only.
This issue has been fixed now and the provided unit will be displayed.

LUTS - 1000 : Fix the H5P content fetching issue on Loree Editor Interface

Defect Scenario: By click on the H5P contents section on Loree side panel doesn’t fetch the H5P interactive contents.
This has been fixed and it will fetch the content based on user created interactive contents.

LUTS - 333 : Fix the Cancel in OAuth verification on Firefox

Defect Scenario: When user opens Loree first time on Firefox browser, by click on OAuth Cancellation will navigate to page error.
We fixed this issue and user will be navigate to Canvas course page when they Cancel OAuth.

LUTS - 596 : Fix the Link text title attribute in the edit link modal

Defect Scenario: When user select the text and open the Edit link modal, they can edit the link text. Earlier, the Link text doesn’t fetch the modified values.
We fixed it and the link text on Edit Link modal will fetch the correct value.

LUTS -1251 : Shift + Enter not working expected on List blocks

Defect Scenario: When user keep on pressing Shift + Enter doesn’t create new line. Also the Enter key copies all the style of an element to the newly created paragraph text.
For now, when user hit “Enter“ key when cursor is either first or last position will not copy the current element styles. It will create new paragraph element with “Insert Text Here“ as default Loree styles.
When cursor in on middle of the text and hit on “Enter”, will create new paragraph text for the current element and copies the styles.
User can keep pressing on “Shift” key and click on “Enter“ will create a break within same paragraph text.

Note: “Enter“ key function is not working as expected on Firefox browsers. We are keep finding the root cause and will sort it out.

LUTS - 1121 : Placing Quick Links positioning not accurate

Defect Scenario: When the cursor position is not blink or not identified the current position by browser, the Quick Links were placed on different position. The placed were not accurate.
We fixed this issue and Quick Links will be paced accurate where the user wants to place it.

Release notes for Loree Admin Dashboard v3.0

Reset password

This allows the Dashboard admin’s to reset their password without contacting Loree service desk.

Earlier, the Admin has to send a mail to Loree service desk for resetting the password and now the same has been modified. We removed the existing method of reset password.

By click on “Reset Password“ from Dashboard Login page, admin’s can request the reset password link to their Email address. The reset password link will have validity of ONE HOUR after that it will be expired.

You will get the reset mail on your inbox from noreply@loree.io which user cannot send a reply mail.

Dashboard user must provide the valid email which is already exist in Dashboard account.

When the email is not registered or registered but inactive, you will get an alert “Account not found“.

Refer the above screen for sample mail to reset the password. Once you click on the “Reset Password“ button from mail, you will be navigated to new page where you have to provide “New password“ and “Confirm password“.

Note: The new password and confirm password fields must met the criteria for password complexity. After successful reset password, user will be navigated to Dashboard login page.

Enhancement on Loree roles & feature management

On last release of Loree Dashboard v2.1, we have enabled the basic features for Loree which cannot be toggle ON/OFF by admins. Now, the same has been enhanced by disabling all other Loree features for newly created Canvas roles.

When an Admin created the new Canvas roles and by validating the roles in Loree Dashboard, only the basic features will be toggle ON and enabled.

Dashboard admin has to manage the permissions to toggle ON/ OFF the Loree features for newly created roles.

Note: This will not impact the existing roles Loree feature permission.

Enable/ Disable the “Add new Category“ for blocks and templates creation

This feature allows the users to create new Category list for Custom Blocks and Templates. Now, this can be toggle ON/ OFF based on user enrolments via Dashboard.

When this feature is toggle ON, user can able to create new categories and they can’t create when it’s toggle OFF.

Important: By toggle ON/ OFF this feature, will enabled/ disabled on both Custom Blocks and Custom Template creation.

Enhanced security on Dashboard configuration

The values stored in Dashboard for Loree configuration with Canvas LMS has been secured more with adding additional encryption/decryption.
