Highlights
Insert Embed URL for Images
As we got feedback from various users, we have implemented this feature. Loree allows the users for inserting embed images using URL. This feature can be accessed from Image uploader modal. When user opens Image Uploader modal, you can see an option named “Image from URL” in a tab selection.
By click on this tab, you will get an input field where you have to provide valid image URL.
Additionally, you can see the button named “Add Image”.
In the above, you can add any embed URL for an image. After provide the URL, you have to click on “Add image” to validate the image in images list.
This allows the users to provide more than one image URL and you can choose any one after add the images into Image list.
Above image represents the thumbnail and selected image preview in the list.
This image represents the users can provide more than one image URL to add it in the list. Remember, by click on “Add Image“ will not insert the images into Editor page. To insert the images into Loree editor interface, you have to click on the image from the shown list.
Important : Images list shown in the “Insert from URL“ section are temporary. Once you close the modal or by selecting other provider, the list will be cleared.

Autosave the contents
This feature allows the users to save their contents automatically while editing in Loree. AutoSave feature can be enabled in menu bar. By default when user opens Loree, this feature will be disabled.
Also, Dashboard Admin can enable/ disable this feature for Loree roles.
When user enable this feature, it will save the editor component contents for every 60seconds once.
From 0th second onwards, it will start saving the contents automatically into the Canvas Course page.
Note: The same page can be editable simultaneously by more than one user. When this AutoSave feature enabled in Loree Editor Interface, the last updated content will be saved in Canvas page.
Enhancement on Text wrapping for “Enter” key
Earlier, when user press “Enter“ key on any paragraph text will create a new line and they can start typing. The same has been functioned by click on “Shift + Enter“.
In order to differentiate the key function and after receiving various feedbacks from the users, we have enhanced our key functionality.
From v2001.7, when user click on “Enter“ key it will create new paragraph text. Follow the below methods on how the Enter will work on different scenarios. The newly created paragraph text will contain the basic text styles along with the text “Insert Text here“.
When cursor is on first position of the paragraph and press on “Enter“ key, will create new paragraph text on above position.
When cursor is on last position of the paragraph and press on “Enter“ key, will create new paragraph text on below.
When cursor is on middle of the text and hit on “Enter“ key, will create new paragraph text and all the text next to cursor will move to new <p> tag. This will copy the text styles also.

Enhancement on Search behavior
Loree has enhanced search feature/functionalities to maintain the tool consistency. Following are the features/ functionalities have search behavior within Loree tool.
Search on Loree Pages
Search on Images
Search on Custom Templates
Search on Custom Blocks
Loree had two different approaches for filter the results. One is using “Enter“ key and other one is using real time search.
In the above list of features, “Search on Images“ will be different approach by having real time search. In order to maintain the consistency on over all tool, we have implemented the “Enter“ key search on all over the features.
Enhancement on Accessibility Checker rules
We have enhanced our Loree Accessibility checker rules for image alternative text on Firefox browser. Additionally we have added rules for elements. When an elements have same ID and title, will trigger the accessibility issues.
Enhancement on Section Block columns
In the previous version of Loree, it allows the users to drag and drop the section block responsive columns to outside of the section. It cause the responsive issues within the content design.
We have restricted the users to drag any columns outside of the parent section block. For example, when user drags 2cols section into Editor interface, they can drag and drop the entire 2col section at any position. But user can’t move the two columns which are positioned inside 2col parent element.
This has been implemented on both Designer and Simplified teacher view of Loree within all section block elements.
Issues resolved in Loree v2001.7
LUTS - 1210 : Style issues on Full-Width Image Block
When user drag and drop Full-Width image block, it allows the users to change the height of the Block. When user try to use different Full-width Image Block, the existing Block style has been applied.
For now, each block will have their own different styles.
LUTS - 976 : Styles are getting broken after save and exit
When user drags the section block columns outside of the parent element, the styles and responsive on contents getting broken.
We have restricted the users to drags the columns from section block elements and enhanced styles for all Loree blocks.
This issue has been fixed and user will not face any styling issues after save and exit.
LUTS - 1244 : Loree went down on Chrome browsers
Recently chrome browser has updated their cookies policy for security enhancement. Following the new cookies policy, Loree unable to fetch the modules, pages and any Canvas related data.
This impacts all the Loree users. We have enhanced our cookie handling functionality by updating the exchange secret and fixed this issue.

Enhancement on Loree roles & feature management
Loree allows the Dashboard Admin’s to toggle ON/OFF the any Loree features based on canvas user roles. When all the features are toggled OFF, Loree will not contain any basic functionalities when open the tool.
In order to main the tool features stable, some of the Loree features has been made as enabled by default and this can’t be disabled by admin’s.
